The Perfect Preschool for Growing Minds

For over 30 years, ALG has been much more than a preschool -- it's been an introduction to life for hundreds of children throughout our community.

We have so many concerns when sending our children for that first "school" experience. We want children to be stimulated and challenged without being overwhelmed, and encouraged to explore the world and develop independence without being pushed. We hope that the child will learn to develop those first social relationships with ease.

At ALG, all these things are possible because the staff, environment, and activities are uniquely structured to achieve these goals. Explore the links to the left to find out more about our program.

Summer Camp at ALG!

There are a few spaces left in session 1 of ALG's Summer Camp!

June 15th - June 26th

Come on down to the ALG farm! We'll take care of the school chickens and dig around in our vegetable garden in the sideyard. We'll build a barn and scarecrow and pretend to be farmers taking care of our animals and land. We'll take a bused field trip to Homestead Farm in Maryland to check out the farm animals and ride a tractor to the fields where we'll do our own berry picking. In Memory of Alan Moran

We are deeply saddened to report that beloved teacher and coworker Alan Moran, a member of the ALG community since 1995, died on October 9, 2008. Please visit our memorial site with photos and recollections. Contribute any memories or photos you have by email to memories@amazinglifegames.org.

ALG is collecting donations to pay for cremation; contributions may be sent to ALG, 4300 16th St. NW, Washington, DC 20011. There will be a ceremony to scatter his ashes at a time to be announced.
