Teachers at ALG

Outstanding teachers are at the heart of the ALG experience. The majority of our teachers have been with the school for over ten years. The teachers' longtime commitment to the school contributes to the rapport between staff members, and provides stability for the children. All ALG teachers are certified.

Throughout the day we place a premium on creative play. Special teachers provide weekly opportunities for music, movement and yoga, and dramatic play. In addition to feeding the imagination, these activities help children learn to be part of a cooperative team.

All the teachers are gentle, but firm and respectful in helping children solve problems and resolve conflicts. The teachers set a tone that encourages children to be independent within the structure of the school.
